JON KENDEL, ARCHIVIST FOR THE PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME, WILL SPEAK ON THE "PERSONAL LEGACY ARCHIVES" AND HOW THE HALL OF FAME PRESERVES THE GAME'S HISTORY
Jon Kendle, Archivist

Kendle, a Canton, Ohio native, joined the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006 working with the Education Department, before being promoted to Researcher in 2008.

As the Hall’s Archivist since 2014, he oversees the Ralph Wilson, Jr. Pro Football Research and Preservation Center and supervises the museum’s Archives and Manuscript Collection. Kendle is responsible for the management and care of all documents on paper, works of art and photographic documentation and still images owned by, on loan, and in the temporary custody of the museum.

Additionally, Kendle writes a bi-weekly column for the Canton Repository where he shares unique and interesting stories related to professional football starting from the league’s founding in downtown Canton to the present day.

Jon will be discussing how the Hall of Fame preserves the game’s history through a massive project he's leading called the Personal Legacy Archives.

CHARITABLE FUND DRIVE UNDERWAY!
Happy December Rotarians!

It’s that time of year when we are in the midst our Annual Charitable Fund Drive! As is customary, I will be making a weekly plea from the podium for your participation.

The Charitable Fund is vital to our Club’s philanthropic endeavors. With this fund, we support projects such as Polio Plus, the Philomatheon Society, RYLA, Rotary Scouts, Interact and Scholarships. This year we also started the Backpack Project under the charitable fund. It is important that we continue to support projects in the community where we work, live and play.

I am not going to be focusing on the goal amount – instead I’m hoping for 100% participation. It’s not important how much you give, just that you give something. Please consider your gift with a generous spirit.  **Please make checks payable to the Canton Rotary Charitable Fund

PARDADA PARDADAI EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY

PDG/PP Bob Pattison forwarded the following email to the office. Bob states "This is a message from a girls' school in India that we have supported in the past and have visited.  You can see how fortunate we are in the USA.  Count our blessings."

The email reads:

We couldn't have done it without you.
Thank you for your contributions and for a great year.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

It is not what we say about our blessings but how we use them that is the true measure of our Thanksgiving!

Sitting half way across the world from you, we are definitely thinking of you when we offer thanks today and wishing that you and the entire PPES family could celebrate together.  What a celebration that would be!

With Black Friday coming in on the heels of Thanksgiving, I am sure that you are gearing up for your Christmas shopping. This season why not make your Christmas gift work double time? Click here and give a sponsorship to your loved ones and in turn watch that gift become the gift of education for a young girl! Follow this LINK to view the video attached to this email.

Happy Holidays!
Lots of love and warm wishes,
Sam.
