Brent Rice joined Wooster Rotary in 2008. After serving on the club Board of Directors and as PR Chair for the club, Brent was elected to serve as President of Wooster Rotary for 2016/17. Brent’s first Rotary experience was as a District 6650 Group Study Exchange team member to the southern regions of Campania and Calabria in Italy.

When Brent is not busy with Rotary, he is the Vice President for Revenue Development at Cat’s Meow in Wooster and is General Manager of the company’s Designwear division. Brent started with Cat’s Meow in 1995 – the same year he and his wife Sharon moved to Wooster.
When Brent is not busy with work or with Rotary, he is, of course, busy with his family. Brent and Sharon have two high school-aged boys – Evan and Landon. From coaching soccer to involvement with Wooster High’s Music Boosters, Brent has been involved in much of what his boys’ activities dictate.

Brent earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from Hiram College, and later completed his MBA at the University of Akron. He enjoys still trying to play soccer on ageing knees and is an avid reader. He also looks forward to getting a puppy as soon as his year as Rotary president is complete.
