John's practice focuses primarily on estate planning and administration, civil litigation, family, and corporate law. He is former managing attorney of the firm.
 
He is a member of the American, Ohio State and Stark County Bar Associations, Fellow of the American Bar and Ohio State Bar Foundations.
John is admitted to practice in Ohio courts and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio.

In addition to John's distinguished legal career, he also has made quite a name for himself in the Stark County community as an amateur historian, speaking to hundreds of civic, educational and community groups about the history of Stark County. He draws his anecdotes about the early days of the county from The Stark County Story by E.T. Heald, volumes 1-6.
John joined Day Ketterer Ltd. in 1966.
