Gary Brown, editor-at-large at The Repository, has worked at the newspaper for more than 40 years as a staff writer, columnist, and lifestyles section editor. Since 1976, Brown has written a humor column, and since 1984, he has written a series of weekly historical articles entitled The Monday After, publishing a collection of those articles through The Repository in the 1990s. Brown serves on The Repository's 200th Anniversary Committee. He is involved with planning and writing historical articles for the four special sections that the newspaper plans to publish over the next 12 months, as well as other in-house bicentennial projects.
