The year was 1926-1927…”Did You Know?”
  1. With the Crippled Children’s Camp at Turkeyfoot Lake completed,  our club budgeted $2,500 per year for maintenance of a six week camp.
  2. A Christmas Party was held for crippled children at the Courtland Hotel.
  3. The Don Mellett murder in July 1926 had its repercussions on the club program of July 16th, when E. A. McCuskey reported on the International Chamber of Commerce Meeting in Washington, D.C. Mccuskey said that event and poor publicity connected with it would set Canton back for years, and would more than offset all the constructive publicity Canton had been generating for years. 
  4. A program high spot was the entertainment of 20 Civil War Veterans on May 28, 1926.
