At our weekly meeting on April 17, 2015, President Tom Clevenger thanked Paul White, Chairman of the "100 Year Celebration", and his committee on planning and executing a wonderful event. President Tom also thanked Past District Governor Dave Ewing for the wonderful job on creating the DVD of the history of the Rotary Club of Canton for the event.
 
Paul White then took to the podium and thanked Lauri and Barb for all the hours they put into the preparations for the celebration event. Also, Paul gave a huge thank you to Dave Ewing for all the hours he put into creating the history DVD(he even spent a couple of nights at the Rotary office!) .
 
Past President Dan Matthews used last week's edition of the Rotogram for his weekly game of knowledge, which he called "Shopping Bee/Spelling Bee". Special thanks goes out to our speaker, Gina Bennavich, Marketing Director of Belden Village Mall, as well as President Elect Paul White for supplying items and gift certificates for prizes for the "winners".
 
Club Secretary Amanda Tietze then welcomed the following guests to our meeting:  Jennifer Kiko, Ed Matthews, Katrina Barton and Stephanie Jackson.
 
The "Happy Bucks" news was then provided by the following Rotarians:  Amanda Tietze informed the members that the Better Business Bureau Shred Day and E-cycle Event was taking place on Saturday at Downtown Ford and Auction Lot from 9-1;  John DeWees applauded Rotarian Ryan Parkinson for his wonderful singing during dinner at the 100 Year Celebration; Suzette Matthews thanked Lauri and Barb for their help with the 100 Year Celebration; Kitty Pelanda was very proud to announce the birth of her and Ray V. Pelanda's first great-grandchild, Collin Ray Pelanda; Bob Pattison thanked Lauri and Barb and also thanked the membership for the recognition he received as "Rotarian of the Year"; Frank Fleischer was happy that his son, Randy, received an honorary PHD from Youngstown State University; Bob Winther was happy that he sold his building and thanked Spring Realty for their help; President Tom thanked all the sponsors of the 100 Year Celebration.
