At our weekly meeting on May 29, 2015, President Tom Clevenger asked the members to please keep Canton Rotarian CC Childs in their prayers.  CC lost her aunt this past week. President Tom also reminded the members about the upcoming photos to be taken on Friday, June 19th (please see story for more information and times).  President Tom stated that this week's meeting will be held on THURSDAY, June 4th!!  The spouses of our deceased Rotarians will be be our special guests at this meeting.
 
Club Secretary Amanda Tietze welcomed the following guests to our meeting: P.S. Murthy, M.D.; Mary Schumaker; Ralph Regula; Montana Tolle; Dana Heffner; and Jennifer Kiko.
 
The "Happy Bucks" news was then presented by the following Rotarians:  Dave Schrade said he was very happy that his daughter, Erika, just graduated and will be attending The University of Akron where she made the cheerleading team; Paul White was happy because he received the Apple iWatch that he won at the live auction during the 100 year celebration gala; Rick Taylor gave a happy buck to celebrate the Cavs success; David Hursh was very happy to announce that his granddaughter was graduating high school and would be attending TCU in the fall; Don Peterson was very happy that his oldest son was celebrating his 18th birthday, graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas and attending Kent State University; Bruce Schorsten said the Cleveland Indians were the hottest team in baseball; Tom Clevenger had three things he was happy about - he was happy to see Canton Rotarian Elbert Magoon return to the meetings, he was happy to announce Canton Rotarian Paul Feaser received the Rotarian of the Year Award for"Service Above Self" from the Rotary Club of Canton, and finally he was extremely happy to announce he became a grandpa for the first time last week!; and our speaker, Richard Regula, was happy that his son had just graduated from The Ohio State University.
 
The following Rotarians turned in a makeup during Friday's meeting: Steve Fettman (two makeups from Canton South); Jerry Ortman (Plain); Ernie Schott (Massillon, Plain); Dan Matthews (Sugarcreek).
