At our weekly meeting on July 24, 2015, President Paul White asked the members to keep in their thoughts Canton Rotarians Rick Sherer, who is recovering from a shoulder replacement, and Michelle Mullaly, who is also recovering from surgery.
 
Canton Rotarian and "Character Count" Committee Chair, Dean Gogolewski, presented the recipients of this years Mayfield Scholarship winners (*please see story regarding the winners).
 
President Elect Craig Young welcomed the following guests to our meeting: Diane Clary, Anthony Robinson, Juanita Robinson, Caleb Robinson, Dawn Campanelli, Kathleen Wyler, Diane Wyler, Scott Wyler, Jared Shive (Louisville Rotary), Miranda Saling (Louisville Rotary), Mandi Snyder, Ruth Zitnik, Debbie Poland and Tammie Mills.
 
President Elect Craig then proceeded to bring the members up to date on the Oktoberfest taking place on Thursday, September 17, 2015 (*please see story for further information).
 
Nick Perini then took to the podium to announce details regarding this year's golf outing. He is looking for hole sponsors ($75), golf prize donations and foursomes.  He announced a new putting contest and the winner would receive the use of a BMW for a weekend courtesy of Cain BMW (*please see story for further information).
 
Canton Rotarian Rick Taylor became the "auctioneer" for four HOF Fashion Show tickets donated by Canton Rotarian Dean Wallace.  The winning bid was by President Paul White for $160.00.
 
President Paul announced that Canton Rotarian Dan Fuline received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the May 12, 2015 Annual Dinner of the Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.  Congratulations to Dan on receiving this very prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award!!
 
The "Happy Bucks" news was then presented by by the following Rotarians: Rick Taylor was happy for the Club because his guest, Dawn Campiaelli, is his boss and that meant he had to behave!; Jim Blake was very happy to be back from his time off due to surgery and for the fact that he realized that two of his alma maters, THE Ohio State University and Duke, won national championships this year; Bruce Schorsten was pleased to announce that the 46th Annual Schorsten Jr. Golf Tournament took place last week and they had a great showing of young golfers.  Bruce stated "I love helping young golfers"; Joe Niamtu donated a Happy Buck on behalf of the scholarship winner from Timken High and said, "Onward Trojans"!
