At our weekly meeting on July 31, 2015, President Paul White asked Rotarians to keep Canton Rotarian CC Child's family in their thoughts and prayers.  CC just passed away last Monday from a brief battle with Pancreatic Cancer.  Also announced was the passing of Canton Rotarian Jim Markling's wife, June, who passed away on July 29th.  Rotarians were asked to please keep Jim and his family in their thoughts and prayers as well.

President Elect Craig Young once again gave an update on Canton Rotary's Inaugural "Oktoberfest".  He and his committee members are still looking for corporate sponsors.  A mailing was sent to all Rotarians asking for them to reach out to any of their contacts who may be interested in becoming a part of this new endeavor.

Nick Perini announced information pertaining to the upcoming golf outing on August 21, 2015 at Tam O'Shanter.  It is not too late to become a hole sponsor for $75.00. Please either contact Nick or the Rotary office if you are interested.

Club Secretary Michelle Mullaly welcomed the following guests to our meeting:  Kaleen Lemon, Jan Pattison, Brittany Levitt, Jody Levitt, Jennifer Kling, Erin Troyer and Susan White.

The "Happy Bucks"  news was then presented by the following Rotarians: Craig Young was thrilled to have Past President Jody Levitt at the meeting; Jody Levitt would love to have Canton Rotarians come visit her at her new Rotary Club in Hilton Head; Ernie Schott was very happy that Taggarts was voted "Best Ice Cream" in Stark County; Rick Taylor gave a reminder of the festivities for the Hall of Fame taking place in Massillon, specifically the Drum and Bugle Corps; Mark Clendenin was aprreciative that, when he put a request out by email for help that Rotarians could give him to gather information for a paper he needed to write for his degree work, five Rotarians reached out to him and he was able to accomplish his task; Curt Werren did not have any "happy" news because he was sad that he was not able to receive his customary hug from CC Childs when he entered the meeting. Curt made a $100 pledge in CC's honor to the Endowment Fund.
