WEEKLY MEETING NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

At our weekly meeting on September 11, 2015, President Paul White asked Rotarians to keep Canton Rotary Past President John Lauritzen's family in their thoughts and prayers.  John recently passed away.  President Paul then presented members who had Perfect Attendance for the 2014-2015 Rotary year with Perfect Yearly Attendance pins.  The following members were recognized with perfect attendance: Jack Barkan (14), Jim Blake (2), Tom Clevenger (9), Don Coen (38), Dave Ewing (30), Paul Feaser (2), Steve Fettman (14), Dan Fuline (31), Tim Furbay (2), Mike Gregorek (11), Lynn Hamilton (3), Dale Holwick (24), Phil Lattavo (26), Bill Maddox (14), Bob Matthews (7), Dan Matthews (13), Suzette Matthews (2), Virginia Neutzling (20), Jerry Ortman (24), Bob Pattison (29), Kitty Pelanda (2), Ray V. Club Secretary Michelle Mullaly welcomed the following guests to our meeting: Mike Conway, Erick Kieffer, Jim Kling, Hank Kerns (West Seattle Rotary), David Pehanich, Dave Waikem and Alicia Bardelli.

 

The "Happy Bucks" news was then presented by the following Rotarians: John Werren was very happy that his triplet grandchildren would be turning 17 on Tuesday; Rebecca Marchino was very happy to have her friend and fellow Rotarian Becky Clark return to the meetings; Bob Pattison was sorry he missed last week's meeting because he missed the presentation to Tom Clevenger on his Major Donor recognition; Mark Clendenin was very happy about the donations he received for the Domestic Violence organization.  Mark also stated he was looking for anyone who had time on their hands to volunteer for the Canton/Akron food bank; Dan Matthews was happy about celebrating his 15th wedding anniversary with his wife and fellow Canton Rotarian Suzette Matthews. The couple just returned from a two week trip to Spain.

 

The following Rotarians will receive a makeup for attending the Oktoberfest committee meeting held on September 11, 2015: Michelle Mullaly, Paul White, Bruce Hale, Drew Pelger, Rick Taylor, David Beule and Mark Rojek.
