At our weekly meeting on October 2, 2015, President Paul White asked the members to keep in their prayers our speaker scheduled for the meeting, Joel Harris from TomTod Ideas, who was sick.  He then thanked Dan Moeglin from the Canton City Engineer for stepping in on such short notice to fill in as speaker.

President Paul gave a reminder to everyone we still have "Oktoberfest" t-shirts available for $10.00 sizes medium, large and x-large.  Paul also announced we have the "Oktoberfest" glassware available for purchase: 1 glass for $3.00 and 2 glasses for $5.00.  There is also a limited supply of wine available for sale. The proceeds from the sale of all these OktoberFest 'leftovers' will be donated to the Canton Rotary Charitable Fund.

President Paul reminded everyone about the upcoming McKinley/Massillon Rally on October 30th.  If you are planning on attending this meeting, PLEASE RSVP to the Rotary office, and be sure to mention any guests you might be bringing.  We want to make sure we provide an accurate head count for food and seating.

The "Happy Bucks" news was then presented by the following:  Rick Taylor was very happy to announce the UC Bearcats beat the University of Miami;  Rick also was very happy for his friend and fellow Rotarian Ernie Schott for being featured for his fall flavors at Taggarts. Tena Wilson asked if anyone would be interested in helping recruit new members;  Tena was very pleased to have several Rotarians raise their hands to participate on this committee.  Dan Matthews gave a shout out to Dave Beule and the Canton Brewing Company, as he had delicious food for dinner when they visited the establishment.  Paul White had lunch at Taggarts and stated it had brought back fond memories of the time when he was 14 years old and worked at Taggarts;  he stated that everything basically looked the same as it had then and he had a great time with great food.  Our speaker, Dan Moeglin, was very happy to see Dr. Reich Watterson in attendance and stated he wouldn't be here today without the hard work of Dr. Watterson.
